Video jockeys also known as VJs create and control a live video feed.
They craft visual experiences that work in flow with the events atmosphere as well as the performers and their music. VJing has its roots tied with alternative, underground, and club culture and has matured into its own art form that's seen in a wide range of events and shows.
VJ KOSK is the alias of Kristian Koskela, which he does his VJ work under. He has been VJing since 2022, and is currently based in Tampere, Finland.
His distorted, grungy and flickering visuals explore themes of presence, immersion, and the relations between human memory and archival data. Working and playing with visuals often induces a flow state producing satisfying and unexpect discoveries.
